Managing Emerging Markets

Goals:

Over recent years the former eastern European states have been rapidly transforming their economies, moving from state control to open market systems. The impact of this change has been dramatic, both domestically and internationally. The increasing inclusion of the former communist states within the European Union has further increased the impact on how we do business, not only in Europe, but also in the rest of the world. How can firms benefit from emerging markets? How can they invest in these countries or build strategic alliances?

Activities:

The focus of the residential week in Poland is to look at the transformation process that has taken place within Eastern Europe. Participants will see the problems these economies faced, how they have been managed and what their current challenges are.
