Summary Career Path

How would you describe your career path in two sentences since you started and finished the Euro*MBA programme?

(With) the Euro*MBA:

  • I've gained confidence and know what I'm capable of.
  • After completing the Euro*MBA I gained access to more managerial positions, even if they were in a completely different sector where I had experience.
  • The salary increase came before graduation, increase of 50%. I work in the procurement function as Regional procurement manager
  • Much broader, more insight into different management areas.
  • My career path has become more authentic, there is more synergy between my character and my professional role, I am more independent and self steering.
  • My career has taken the international scope that I dreamed of, and it is getting better by the month. I am more confident than before of my continued success.
  • Helped to take a position in multi-functional general/operations management from pure mono-functional technical management.
  • I have moved out of a very specific function towards a more general management function with responsibilities that touch on the strategic path of the organisation.
  • From the beginning discovering always new views and experiences. After graduation much more open minded and self-confident. Ready for whatever will come.
  • I changed from senior management position at a private company to a middle management position at the European public administration in order to have a better work-life balance. As public administration works in a different way, no more sudden major upwards or downwards changes in my career are expected.
  • From an engineer position, I move to a research position in risk & decision management. The combination of a Master science and MBA has qualified me to join this Research institute. I am doing project management, Marketing and sales together with research development in the field of risk and decision solution. I used my business overview to propose research project in various industries. Thanks to the MBA which open my mind. The MBA help me to be creative in my research proposal, to be conversant with various stakeholders and understand both the research and business world. While the salary is not that high compare to other business, I have the opportunity what I really like. As I said earlier, the MBA provides me daily the mind set to do my job (especially the thesis methodology learnt during the MBA) Innovation is also part of my job as a researcher. The TIM course helped me a lot.
  • Initially my MBA studies opened up opportunities to move from engineering into marketing but still within engineering consultancy. I subsequently moved back into engineering on a freelance basis but my MBA studies were still valuable in broadening the scope of my work. I am currently on a fixed term contract with the European Commission after which I expect to return to freelance work.

Euro*MBA gave me the confidence to break with my old risk-free career path and embrace new opportunities. Herald Voorneveld (The Netherlands)
