(With) the Euro*MBA:
The Euro*MBA renewed and expanded my knowledge. I use every day aspects of what I learned. I was already well established in an industry where there is a ceiling on fee rates, and I was already fully utilized, but the Euro*MBA certainly helps me to win new work. I can confirm that I'm daily applying the concepts earned in several courses as well as assignments done during the Euro*MBA Euro*MBA allowed me to access higher level positions, more into managerial than basic sales. My quality of life improved due to reduced traveling. From IT consulting and IT system integration into global marketing / business development / sales of a financial services company and a management consulting company afterwards. I am thinking of starting my own business as a management consultant, marketing consultant and coach. MBA education provided the 'full picture' of business instead of being focused on specific functions only: it's a change of mind-set. It demonstrated my ambition, showed that I was interested in a broader perspective. Access to General Management responsibilities. I do still use what I've learned (mainly financial/accounting management, HR management, Strategic management) The program gave me some exposure to fields I was not comfortable with such as Finance, Accounting, and Strategy. This combined with the many exchanges with other professionals in the programme was like doing a business program on steroids. I now enjoy the confidence to sit at the table with business leaders as an equal. I started my own company and use my gained knowledge every day. It changed my way of thinking. It prepared me to start my company. The thesis is the most difficult part as it gives sense to the whole learning, it's a kind of accomplishment in the program. It opened my mind to the changes occurring in the business world. The Euro*MBA forced me to read in the news, in the literature and keep in touch with was going on to support or contradict the Management theories. I still read a lot (HBR, Management books, economics newspapers,...) and try to keep an open eye and mind. More international focus and broader business understanding Sure I do use what I learned especially when it comes to strategic planning and change management. The Euro*MBA gave me the skill set and confidence I needed to start my own business. I use what I learned with clients on a regular basis. After completing my MBA, I started my own business. A year later, I started working for a consulting business. Most recently, I accepted a new job as programme manager (general management). In this position, I am actually using what I learned during the MBA. After the graduation of the MBA I decided to quit my job at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and switched to the private sector (sustainable energy sector). In my new job as business developer I have been particularly applying what I learned at the financing course (calculation of NPV's, discounted cash flow etc.). Euro*MBA provided me broad knowledge of other disciplines, including a number of classic themes in MBA studies. The knowledge was put in context of how various companies or sectors have evolved in recent years. Yes, I use the knowledge and awareness. In particular, my knowledge of finance and strategy. Allowed me to easily move to Controller position of an international business unit with a background in Engineering I wanted to become an entrepreneur... which I am now... Helped me move from a technical focus to a commercial one
